CoScripter can be customized so that your data is filled into forms when you run a script. In the “personal database” area at the bottom of the sidebar, add in an entry by creating a new line and putting “hometown = XXX” on that line, replacing XXX with your home town (e.g., Florence, Italy). Press Step.
- go to “http://www.wunderground.com”
The next step will enter your hometown into the search box. Notice that the value appears in green in the search box to the right, and it also appears in the text of the step below. Press Step to enter your hometown into the search field.
- enter your “hometown” (e.g. Florence, Italy) into the “Find the Weather for any” textbox
Press Step to retrieve weather for your location.
- click the “Fast Forecast” button
You can add more entries to your personal database simply by editing it. Values should be in the form “name = value”. When recording a script, if you enter a value that appears in your personal database, the corresponding variable will be recorded. Then others who run your script will get to plug in their own values, rather than yours.
- you click Step now to start over
